Blue Israel Star of David Necklace
This blue Israel pendant necklace was hand made from porcelain in my studio in central Israel. It has a raised Star of David (Magen David) at its centre and is finished in a satin, blue glaze combination. The back of the pendant is natural porcelain and it has Am Yisrael Chai (the people of Israel live) hand engraved in Hebrew, as well as my signature. It was fired 3 times, first to 1000 degrees Celsius, then glaze fired to 1220 degrees Celsius. After hand painting the 24k gold contour and Magen David, I fired it again to 840 degrees, to seal on the gold. After the pendant was completed, I attached it to a gold fill chain, with gold fill fittings. To preserve the gold, it is not advised to bathe while wearing it.
